The Missing Goat!?

It all started one lazy Sunday afternoon
in a small town near Toronto in Canada.

Two school-going friends had a crazy idea.

They rounded up three goats from the neighborhood and painted the numbers
1, 2 and 4 on their sides.

That night they let the goats loose
inside their school building.

The next morning,
when the authorities entered the school,
they could smell something was wrong.

They soon saw goat droppings
on the stairs and near the entrance
and realized that some goats had
entered the building.

A search was immediately launched
and very soon, the three goats were found.

But the authorities were worried,
where was goat No. 3?

They spent the rest of the day
looking for goat No.3.

The school declared classes off for the students for the rest of the day.

The teachers, helpers, guards,
canteen staffs, boys were all busy
looking for the goat No. 3,
which, of course, was never found.

Simply because
it did not exist.

Those among us who inspite of having
a good life are always feeling a
“lack of fulfilment”
are actually looking for the elusive,
missing, non-existent
Goat No.3.

Whatever the area of complaint or dissatisfaction, relationship,
job-satisfaction, finance, achievements, ……
An absence of something
is always larger than the
presence of many other things.

Let’s Stop worrying about goat No.3
n enjoy the life…
Life would be so much happier
without the worries…

And don’t let the non existent imaginary goat number 3 waste your time and happiness.
Enjoy life with what you have.

You need power, only when you want to do something harmful, otherwise love is enough to get everything done.

Heaven or Hell?

A woman who had worked all her life to bring about good was granted one wish, “Before I die let me visit both hell and heaven.” Her wish was granted.

She was whisked off to a great banqueting hall. The tables were piled high with delicious food and drink. Around the tables sat miserable, starving people as wretched as could be.

“Why are they like this?” she asked the angel who accompanied her.

“Look at their arms,” the angel replied.

She looked and saw that attached to the people’s arms were long chopsticks secured above the elbow. Unable to bend their elbows, the people aimed the chopsticks at the food, missed every time and sat hungry, frustrated and miserable.

“Indeed this is hell! Take me away from here!”

She was then whisked off to heaven. Again she found herself in a great banqueting hall with tables piled high. Around the tables sat people laughing, contented, joyful.

“No chopsticks I suppose,” she said.

“Oh yes there are. Look, just as in hell they are long and attached above the elbow but look, here people have learnt to feed one another”
According to the story, it shows that hell and heaven can be seen here and now; anywhere there is selfishness or the selfish, there will be restlessness, hunger, crimes, civil war etc. that can be called ‘hell’ and wherever there is generosity or help, there will be happiness, joy, harmony, unity etc. that can be called ‘heaven’.

In each moment of our life, we can see hell and heaven; whenever we are selfish, that means we are in hell and life can be miserable. Whenever we are generous to others, we are in heaven and life can be happy

TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More

A business man gets stranded in a lonely highway in the US. The tyres of his car get stuck badly in a mud pool. He looks around for help and finally finds an old farmer.
This businessman goes to him asking for help to get his car out of the mud.
Farmer gauges the situation, and agrees to help him and says, let us take the help of warwick. *Warwick* was an old bull around, but the helpless business man agrees.
The farmer ties the bull to the car and start shouting loudly:

*FRED, PULL!.. JACK, PULL!.. JOHN, PULL… WARWICK, PULL’.*
As the farmer keeps shouting these words, the bull Warwick gets the car out of the pool of mud.
Businessman is relieved but has a doubt in his mind. He thanks the farmer and asks him:
‘you said the bull’s name was Warwick, and he was alone, then *who were these Fred, Jack & John?’*
Farmer coolly answered, “See, *Warwick is old and is also blind. He does not know he is pulling this car alone. The moment he hears the other names, he thinks he is in a team, and he gives his best”.*
*MORAL*:
So is the case with all of us. The very thought that there are people to help us blesses us with a great deal of comfort, hope, confidence and enthuses us to put our heart and soul into any task that we undertake.
Indeed, greatest civilizations have always been built on the foundations of a greater level of cooperation from their citizens, and the smartest animals we know — apes, elephants, wolves, dolphins, and crows — tend to live together in cooperative groups and work together for survival.
As H.E.Luccock said,

*“No one can whistle a symphony. It takes an orchestra to play it.”*

It’s not without reason that the very word *TEAM* is said to stand for

*”Together  Everyone Achieves More”*.
Have a great day ahead 👍🏻
